APRN Legislation 2022 HB 2650 To authorize APRNs to sign DNR orders
Posted about 3 years ago by Merilyn Douglass
Currently in statute, physicians and physician assistants may sign DNR orders. HB 2650 amends the statute to include APRNs as providers to sign DNR orders. http://www.kslegislature.org/li/b2021_22/measures/documents/hb2650_00_0000.pdf
From KANP President Amy Siple.
Please reach out to Representative Featherston Linda.Featherston@house.ks.gov and thank her for sponsoring the DNR bill. It was introduced in the Health and Human Services Committee Feb. 8, 2022.
Please encourage your legislatures to vote in favor of this bill as well. Our lobbyists are not engaged in anything except our bill to remove CPAs per their contract. Thus, engagement on the DNR bill (HR2650) must come from us.
I appreciate you all so much. It is a joy and honor to work with you.
Amy Siple.
