This is an exciting time in headache medicine! Join Dr. Laurel Short as she simplifies the current landscape in migraine medications and how to optimize treatment plans for your patients.
Dr. Laurel Short is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sunflower Medical. She completed her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis on self-management for chronic migraine. She is passionate about partnering with patients to maximize their function and wellness. She has a certification in Headache Medicine and is the current President of KAPN. Outside of the office, you will find her training for endurance events, traveling, and chasing after her two young children.

Emily Day is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced certification in Functional Medicine. She completed her training at Kansas University School of Nursing in 2012, and her certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2019. Emily helps patients with a variety of conditions, and formulates personalized treatment plans from a Functional Medicine approach. She recently opened her own practice in Prairie Village, Daylight Functional Medicine.
