CALL TO ACTIOM

S. 131, the Improving Access to Workers' Compensation for Injured Federal Workers Act is a bill the legislature will be voting on tomorrow in the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.  AANP is requesting any Kansas members to reach out to Senator Marshall to advocate for passing of this bill, which would amend the Federal Employees Compensation Act to authorize NPs to diagnose, certified, and oversee the care for injured federal employees, consistent with state law. According to the Congressional Budget Office, this bill also has no cost.  The bill also has a broad coalition of supporting organizations including Americans For Prosperity, Heritage Foundation, and the National Rural Health Association.
