KAPN NEWS:
** Calling all Kansas APRNs!
** We need your input!
Since Full Practice Authority (FPA) was implemented in Kansas in July 2022, the landscape of nursing has changed significantly. We want to hear about your lived experiences in this new regulatory environment.
Please take 15–20 minutes to share your insights through this APRN FPA Survey. Your feedback is vital to understanding the impact on clinical autonomy, patient care, and the healthcare workforce. The data will be summarized in a white paper and poster presentation describing the FPA Journey in KS, presented at the KAPN Conference Feb 20, 2026, by Merilyn Douglass APRN and Michelle Knowles APRN.
Key Information
- Deadline: Please submit your responses by January 20, 2026.
- Focus: This project examines the impact of FPA on prescribing practices, patient outcomes, and professional satisfaction.
- Confidentiality: Participation is voluntary, and responses are reported in aggregate unless you grant permission to be identified.
- Questions: For any additional comments or inquiries, please contact Merilyn Douglass at merilyn208@gmail.com.
## Why Your Voice Matters
Your participation helps document the real-world shifts in how APRNs are utilized in both urban and rural areas of Kansas. It provides data on remaining regulatory barriers and the financial impact of practice autonomy.
